Artificial Turf Wars Ep. 11: A Minor (League) Detour

The voices of the minor leagues make their appearance on Artificial Turf Wars, as Jesse Goldberg-Strassler of the Lansing Lugnuts and Ben Wagner of the Buffalo Bisons stop by to discuss Andy Burns, top prospects and life at various levels of the minors. Greg, Josh, and Chris also run through the recent stories surrounding the team including the excellent starting pitching, some issues with Troy Tulowitzki’s glove, hitting woes, Ryan Tepera’s brief return to the club, and the bizarre way managers handle bullpens in the ninth inning. Finally the guys answer a few listener questions, look at a bizarre “shift” from Buck Martinez, and tackle the cliché of major leaguers being former shortstops.

Information on Blue Jays Weekend in Buffalo (mentioned by Ben Wagner) can be found here

Still not up. This happened with the Jaime Campbell episode as well. By the time it surfaced the content wasn’t particularly current.
