After a fantastic first season under the Baseball Prospectus brand we are looking to add as we prepare to cover the Blue Jays for the 2017 season. As such, we are looking for people who wish to join the BP Toronto writing team. Writers will be expected to write one to two feature style posts per month. They will get the opportunity for their articles to be seen across the Baseball Prospectus network, as well as access to BP-only resources.

If you’re interested in being considered for one of these internship positions, please send the following to baseballprospectustoronto@gmail.com by February 23rd:

One baseball related writing sample. There is no need to write new articles if you have old work, just provide a link.

A short cover letter, explaining why you’d like to be join BP Toronto. If you have an area of expertise (pitch mechanics, prospects, humour, etc.) please include that in your letter.

A resume, which need not be formal.

NOTE: The positions are unpaid. The aim is to provide an outlet for people who are looking for a place to talk about the Toronto Blue Jays and to assist aspiring writers in getting their work to a larger audience.

We’re interested in continuing to exceed our readers’ expectations of producing the most comprehensive Blue Jays-related content on the internet. That being said, you need not be a Blue Jays fan to apply, or even have any prior baseball writing experience. If you know your baseball and have a strong writing ability, we welcome your applications. We also actively encourage you to apply if you belong to groups who are not normally well represented in the baseball writing community.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Matt Gwin & Joshua Howsam, Co-Editors-in-Chief
