If we were to simply "scout the stats" with all other considerations aside, I could hear an argument that Jansen had passed him up maybe. If you really wanted to be harsh, you MIGHT could push him down to #7 or so?

But stats have context and do not occur in a vacuum. Look at these two lines:
.170/.232/.193/.425
.276/.370/.471/.841

The first is Alford through May 31 in 24 games (at AAA), the second is Alford in June in 25 games. For context remember that early in the season he opened on rehab in Dunedin. He got into a mere 10 games in Buffalo before being called up to Toronto, where he got little in terms of reps, on May 5. He came back to AAA on May 16 and didn't hit any kind of offensive stride for his first 2 weeks back.

Since then it's been .275/.358/.440/.798
For a 23 year old
on his first go at AAA
who came into the year with 301 games of experience in the minors at all levels (about 2.5 years worth for an "everyday" minor league player)

For comparison, when Randal Grichuk first hit St. Louis at 23, he had almost twice as many games played in the minors. Bo Bichette is 20 and has already played 213 professional games.

Also, during one 15 game stretch this year, Bo hit
.151/.188/.227/.415
So - ya know - baseball gonna baseball.

Context.
In samples large enough to tell us anything he's been fine. We can debate how many points you dock him for health reasons but otherwise, I stand by it.

As for the Prospects pool I believe the jays have a deep top 60 to 65 prospects now. Could have more but in my opinion to many players on teams to development more.
For Example
DSL blue jays have 39 players on it.
GCL have 36 players on it
Bluefield have 36 players on it
And Vancouver has 36 players on it.
That's enough for some two more teams to become even deeper in prospects.

I like your top 25 but one. In the five years since he has
gone full time his numbers or anything have not improved. Actually they have gotten worse. And with all the additions
from the draft and international free agents he has no business
being in the top 30. Anthony Alford needs a new team or be sent back and restarted. And maybe be the between the 35 or 40 top prospect.
