Kenii, every season of late, the bright minds who comment on baseball write off the AL East division as being weak.
I believe that Boston and Baltimore are beasts with the bats...but so are the Jays. beyond the offense, the Jays starters came out of the chute 'guns ablazin'.....including Marcus.
His home record is declining virtually every start....I think he has put too much pressure on himself. It may be useful to send him down for two games, so he can get his mojo/confidence back. He's a young guy and he is getting uptight. As opposed to Romero, this man can come back and be a better pitcher than the level he is pitching to right now.
He is obviously a hard worker, and he's got his degree out of Duke, so he is obviously bright. just needs to get in touch with his tao.

Not sure I agree. Commentators have pointed out that Stroman's ERA is 2 to 3 times higher against AL East opponents than non-divisional opponents. So I don't think he'll get burned; I'm confident that Stroman can regain his form by playing against major league opponents (of the non-divisional variety). In fact, it's better for him because the Orioles and Red Sox are...you know...major league teams. The last thing I'd want is for him to return from the minors to face way tougher hitters and fail. Simply put, facing major league hitters and succeeding will grant him better confidence than facing minor league hitters, and this season's stats suggest that he can still do well at the major league level. I say: let's give Stroman our confidence before asking him to go down and get it back himself.

Sad to say, agreed. Hutch then slides nicely into the Sanchez spot pre-stretch run. Potential downside is the further destruction of Stro's confidence, but that only happens if he can't handle AAA hitters, in which case he can't be taking his turns in MLB anyway. I'm not much for luck, but my fingers are crossed for the kid.

I agree whole-heartedly...in my view he is trying to hard to finesse every pitch to every batter...when you have a weak batter in front of you, then beat them with high heat. Stroman has the ability to do that. he has become all finesse, and no muscle....
