This made me laugh.

As for "winning pitcher," (from the OP) Sanchez has been really, really good in both his outings this year (and absolutely dominant in one of them). I'm not really sure what that was supposed to mean.

I missed the 2nd inning, but looking at both of those pitches, if I were the ump I honestly would've called 'em balls. I'm not liking how Russell is setting up for those pitches (perhaps an after-effect of catching R.A., but he's not offering a target, instead keeping his glove low & relaxed until the ball approaches...)

Sanchez has great stuff, but I'm not sure that he's a "winning" pitcher. Watching highlights of Syndergaard yesterday makes me wonder what might have been...

Cola has been predictably bad after running his mouth so much... whereas Tulo & Russ less predictably but equally as bad, at the plate. It all started with Jose's slide in Tampa Bay...

Umpire was terrible, but just as harsh on tanaka (if not more so, frankly).

Mistake was Tulo's, IMO. Shouldn't have created the situation for Sanchez, for the reasons you explain. Sanchez might be annoyed at the bad calls, but Tulo should be thinking clearly.
